Brutally beautiful stoneware bowl with elegant applied handle by Arabia master form-giver Francesca Mascitti-Lindh circa 1975, with rough incised and strapped decoration, and mottled green, brown and ochre glazes, satin black interior -- 7" in diameter, 3" deep, well marked and in superb condition. Mascitti (born Italy 1931) and husband Richard Lindh started their own studio in Helsinki before being brought on-board Arabia in 1955. Her designs there won her many awards, including Gold Medals at Faenza in 1973 and 1977...
