Enormous Marcello Fantoni for Raymor trench-art style vase with inside diameter exactly 88 millimeters -- no coincidence I am sure. Fifteen inches tall with a curious squashed incision combed and rifled, finished in a matte gunmetal oil-spot base glaze with his signature yellow-green brush in the combing, and translucent gloss white to the rim. Very dramatic and in good condition, with just one small chip to the rim and another to one of the comb vanes... Altogether, this piece is Italian neo-realism at its very finest.
