Viktor Berndt Tribal Vase

Spectacular "tribal" vase designed by Viktor Berndt for Flygsfors in the late 1960s, and it is in tremendously good condition... A major influence on Pentti Sarpaneva, Berndt designed this model to be blown inside the metal ring -- the glass buttons pressed flat as they extruded. The tribal series were all difficult to produce and therefore made in limited numbers -- each is nearly one of a kind (no where near the numbers of Paul Kedelv coquille series were made). This example is perfectly intact, the color is classic amber, and the pre-distressed patina on the copper band is just gorgeous. 7" high, 5" diameter.
