Harris Strong

Nice pair of vintage wood-framed Harris Strong tiles in the tube-lined cityscape style of his early Bronx period... tiles are 6" square, framed dimensions 14-1/2" long, 8-1/2" wide, excellent condition (minimal crazing in the white areas, no chips or cracks evident) with the frame particularly nice -- perfect gold on the inner edge, some misses on the corners of the linen overlay but this was common and the linen is very clean for its age, perfect wood and minimal paper tears on the rear; with original label, marks in pencil as follows: HA27, 205, Linen Finish.
